William grew up on a farm in Virginia and developed a love of all things outdoors at an early age. In the 80’s he attended Virginia Western Community College and completed their horticulture program. In the early 90’s he started a nursery growing trees, and began a landscape company near Smith Mountain Lake. He relocated to Roanoke in 2002, and now focuses solely on landscape design and installation.
His influences are many, from gardens around the world, admired designs and nature. William's understanding of soil, hydrology, sun exposure, and plant species are essential in creating a garden that will flourish and prosper, and remain beautiful through the years.
William lives in Botetourt County with Kayla and a menagerie of animals. In his free time he competes with his two Australian Shepherds in sheep and cattle herding trials.
